Why Assemble a SANITY Support Group in Your Community?

Quite simply, the SANITY Support Group Network (SSGN) is a group of fellow sojourners doing our best to gain sanity in an insane situation spinning out of control.

The SSGN is a life-preserver you can grab to keep from drowning in the sea of misery that is so often the life of a parent or grandparent in pain.

Why Attend a Group?

Face it, folks, we’ve lost perspective. We can’t always be objective where our adult children (or grandchildren) are concerned. We want what’s best for them but sometimes we’re so caught up in the chaos, crisis and drama that we can’t see our options clearly. We need help.

Following the steps outlined in Setting Boundaries with Your Adult Children is a start in addressing this issue. Attending, and/or facilitating a SANITY Support Group in your community is the next vital step in gaining hope as you walk the often painful path to healing.

But who can we trust with this sensitive topic? Who could possibly understand the insane life we have been living?

Who better than someone who has been there, someone who is still there, and someone who won’t judge? Who better than someone who also needs to set appropriate boundaries in their own household? Who better than a fellow sojourner who can help to hold us accountable to our Action Plan and to our goals?

I encourage you to listen to your heart as you contemplate becoming involved in this growing SSGN outreach community. We need your help—parents and grandparents all over the country need your help. Please consider joining us today in a network designed to strengthen our community.
